Previously alloted to Pakistan, world cup organizing committee descided to give 14 matches to co-hosts India, Sri-Lanka and Bangladesh.
ICC decided to take out all the allocated matches from Pakistan because of the attack on Sri Lankan team in Pakistan by terrorists which killed 6 policemen and 1 driver. So the decision was pending where to play these 14 matches.
Before this decision there were plans to move these 14 matches to Dubai. But finally ICC decided to keep all the matches in south asian cricket playing countires and alloted to India, …
