India vs Bangladesh: India wins 1st match of ICC cricket world cup 2011
Opening match of ICC cricket world cup 2011 is won by India against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh won the toss and selected to bowl first. India started very well and without any problem in facing the Bangladesh bowling attack, made the target of 370 runs with the loss of just 4 wickets. Virendar Sehwag scored his career best 175 runs. Virat Kohli also played amazingly and scored 100 and remained not out till the end.
No Bangladesh bowler was so effective and Indian batsmen showed no mercy in scoring memoth runs against them.
In reply to giant score of 370 runs, Bangladesh tried really hard but did not able to make it and India won by 87 runs. Tamim Iqbal (70) and Shakib Al Hasan (55) were the highest scorer from Bangladesh innings. Munaf Patel took 4 wickets for 48 runs.
