After surgery to his shoulder in south africa, Zaheer khan has been ruled out from the Indian cricket team for The Champions Trophy 2009. It is also said that he may miss all the 7 matches against against Australia when they visit India. As per BCCI release Zaheer is recovering well and soon he will be joining the Indian team.

“Zaheer Khan had an arthroscopic labral repair in his left shoulder on 13th July 2009 done by the Johannesburg-based Dr Mark Ferguson,” the release said. “Zaheer is undergoing rehabilitation in South Africa and is recovering very well. He is expected to return to international cricket by the end of this year.”

Zaheer Khan has to visit South Africa often for his shoulder rehabilitation. Missing Zaheer Khan in Champions Trophy will be a huge loss to India as he is the leading bowling attack the team has.
