Andrew Flintoff Ends Test Career : Retires from Test Cricket : Test Career Timeline

Andrew Flintoff, an England all-rounder and former captain declared wednesday that he will retire from test cricket after current Ashes series against australia because of injuries.

andrew_flintoff_retires2“My body has told me it’s time to stop,” Flintoff said. “For the next four Test matches I’ll do everything I need to do to get on a cricket field and I’m desperate to make my mark,” he said while announcing his decision on Wednesday. “I want to finish playing for England on a high and if you look at the fixtures going forward, the way my body is suggests I won’t be able to get through that.”

Fintoff has played test cricket for 11 years and now he is retiring to give his best efforts to one day and t20 cricket. He has often suffered injuries for last several years and that is the main reason he has declared his retirement from test cricket.
