After the ICC T20 2009, one of the major event from ICC is about to start in september, The ICC Champions Trophy 2009. In last event Pakistan won the cup and became the lastest T20 Champions.
After the attack to Sri Lankan team by terrorists in Pakistan, ICC withdrew the Champions trophy arrangements from Pakistan. Now the new venue is South Africa and finally ICC champions trophy is going to start from 22nd september 2009. There will be 15 matches in the series and all top circketing nations are taking part in it.

[...] ICC has also changed the format of the game and now game has only 15 matches to play. Also only 8 teams will take part instead of 10 teams like previous tournaments. This is the reason the tournament will be very short instead of its first version which lasted for approx. one month.
