Battle to survive for Pakistan

9 June 2009 368 views No Comment

Pakistan has a big task on tuesday as it is going face to face with Netherlands in a must-win match at Lord’s. It is as much important as if they loose this match they will be out of ICC world T20 2009.

younis_khanOn the other hand, Netherlands are very much confident after their win against England, one of the biggest upset of the tournament. Also they have a really good runrate over Pakistan and even a narrow loaa or tie wouldn’t hurt their chances to qualify in the super 8.

Also Pakistan has one more problem as Pakistan media reports a big rift in the team. As per the report skipper Younis Khan and coach Intikhab Alam don’t see eye-toeye and have a big difference over team’s composition. Source in the team have also confimed the same by saying, Younis Khan is not at all happy with the conventional way of coaching of IntiKhab Alam.

The skipper’s comment regarding team performance after the loss to England has now put the good impression among players. Younis Khan said that he can not take a stick and start bitting player if they do miss field. This kind of statements have created some kind of disatisfaction among Pakistani players.

Now Pakistan have to beat Netherlands anyhow with a large margin and good runrate to be in the tournament. Let see how all the issues affect the teams performance.
